A study on Platelet, FDP and Fibrinogen levels in Preeclamptic Patients

Abstract
The present study undertaken to measuring the level of platelet, FDP and fibrinogen in 52 preeclamptic patients compared with 50 normal pregnancy(control group) at the time of admission.
The results are as follows:
1. Platelet count was 374¡¾103(¡¿1000)in normal pregnancy and 297¡¾82(¡¿1000)in preeclampsia. The level of platlelet count in preeclampsia group was significantly decreased than that of the normal pregnancy group(P £¼ 0.05)
2. FDP was 17¡¾13 §¶ / §¢ in normal pregnancy and 17¡¾12 §¶ / §¢ in preeclampsia. The level of FDP demonstrated no significant difference between normal pregnancy and preeclampsis(P £¾ 0.01)
3. Plasma fibrinogen was 425¡Â69 §· / §£ in normal pregnancy and 368¡¾72§· / §£ in preeclampsia. The level of plasma fibrinogen in preeclampsia group was significantly decreased than that of the normal pregnancy(P£¼ 0.05)
